EDUCATION
Fidai
boys are housed at Panchgani, a hill station, 240 kms (150 miles) from
Mumbai, which is a school town with 42 schools. The Fidai children take
the benefit of quality education at three different schools, one of
them having the status of a "Public School".
The three Fidai schools at Andheri are government-recognized
and meet high educational standards. Besides catering
to the needs of about 200 girls from the Institution,
the schools are also open to about 800 children
of the neighbourhood without any discrimination
of caste, creed, religion or economic status.
The teachers for the schools and for extra coaching
classes are selected for their qualifications,
experience and love of teaching and they take
a personal interest in the academic progress,
social development and welfare of every child.
This broad and balanced education caters to "the whole child"
in terms of academic excellence and emotional growth. We help the children
to learn how to study independently and develop good study habits.
We want pupils to develop love of learning, to know how to study independently
and to want to do so. Special emphasis is placed on the learning of
the English language and the use of computers. At the Andheri Schools
there is a modern Science Laboratory. A renowned professional institution
has been engaged to teach the pupils IT skills to cope with their curriculum
and in preparation for the higher education and careers to follow.
Special attention is paid to students of Standard X by arranging workshops,
seminars and guidance lectures by S.S.C. examiners and moderators.
