Children
are generally selected after careful scrutiny
at the beginning of each academic year at the
age of 6 and are fostered till they reach the
age of 17 or until they pass the 10th standard
at school. Exceptions are made for girls above
17 in cases where they do not have proper home
to return to or are bright students who may not
be able to continue higher studies form their
homes.
The members of the Managing Committee of the Fidai
Institutions often use their contacts to help
the parents of the Fidai girls find suitable matches
for the marriage of their daughters. Fidai girls
have been married to young men from U.S.A., U.K.,
Holland, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Pakistan, Bangladesh
and Malaysia and are now living in those countries.
